The base itself is divided up into three decks, each serving a different purpose. Build industries to supply with goods each alien species, or sabotage your enemies and competitors with your mechs. You have direct control of them and real-time combat is just another nice form to get rid of the opportunistic pirates that sometimes try to invade your space station.
In addition to the extensive single-player campaign, there are other options like an individually configurable sandbox mode as well as both a competitive and a cooperative multiplayer mode for up to four players.
