Death is only the beginning! Skeletal Avenger is a roguelike hack-and-slash game where you play as a skeletal warrior, risen from the grave to serve a necromancer. In exchange for your service, you are given a chance to claim vengeance on the person who wronged you. Unlike most dungeon crawlers, you actually begin in the depths of a dungeon and work your way up till you find your target. If you die, your run is over. On the other hand, your target can also die before you get to them, and then your run will also be over too. Either way, the game begins again with a different skeletal avenger with their own quest for vengeance!
You will face dozens of enemies as you explore the procedurally-generated dungeon. Never fear, you can equip yourself with the powerful items that you find or buy upgrades to increase your power. But your best weapon is probably your own head, as you can decapitate yourself and throw your skull at your foes for a variety of effects, depending on the hat you’re wearing! You can hurl your skull like a bowling ball, make it explode like a bomb, or even spew acid vomit on your enemies. And should your run end, you can pass on gear and money to the next avenger after you.
