The sequel to Salt and Sanctuary is here and it is grittier than ever. Salt and Sacrifice is a Souls-like adventure game that brings the grimdark tone of the original into the new realm of Alderstone. You have been deemed a criminal, and for your crimes, you have been sentenced to become a Marked Inquisitor. Your job: hunt down and destroy the most dangerous evil wizards of the land.

Start by building a character from one of eight classes: Assassin, Cleric, Fighter, Duelist, Highblade, Paladin, Ranger, or Sage. Each class has its own equipment and starting skills, but can adjust your build as you level up.

Salt and Sacrifice expands your gear and skills. You now have a grappling hook, can wall jump, craft gear, summon NPCs to help you, and call on other players using the new co-op feature.

You start in a hub for Inquisitors called the Pardoner’s Vale where you can rest and recuperate. From there, you venture through the darkest places in Alderstone: haunted castles, underground tombs, and other dreadful locations. Every enemy you encounter can kill you with a few hits—and a boss is even more merciless. In Salt and Sacrifice, you are never safe.
