Face a star-faring empire with the most powerful ship in existence. DRAINUS is a 2D shooter and side-scroller that puts you in the cockpit of an advanced fighter, capable of absorbing energy blasts and taking out an entire fleet of Imperial ships.

You play as Irina, a young girl whose father is dying from a mysterious disease. The only cure is located on the faraway planet of Earth. Your sister can’t help—she is a captain of the Kharlal Empire and is off-planet. You are almost resigned to losing your father when suddenly, a froglike being appears before you. Introducing himself as Ghenie, he claims to be 50 years from the future, having come back to the past to prevent the destruction of thousands of planets by the Empire’s hand. He asks for your help, and with nowhere else to turn, you accept his offer in exchange for passage to Earth.

What follows is a non-stop battle through the enemy’s space fleet in a bid to take down the Empire. Change up the Drainus’ weaponry by selecting from your arsenal: items like the 5-way shot, Diagonal Rear Shot, Homing Missiles, and more. Your most powerful weapon is the Reflector shield, which gives you the ability to absorb energy attacks and store the energy for a short period of time, which you can then use for counterattacks.
