A whole week after its release Call of Duty: Warzone is currently breaking all records. The new free-to-play Call of Duty, teased for months via numerous leaks and originally presented as a new mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, had gathered 6 million players only 24 hours after its release. It then gathered 2 million more players in the two days that followed, and it has now more than 15 million players who compete in the new battle royale in the Call of Duty series.
Since its launch, Warzone has offered two game modes, Battle Royale, and Plunder. A third mode comes into play today: the solo mode. More specifically, it offers to the players the possibility of playing in Battle Royale alone. Indeed, even if you did not necessarily need to group with your friends to play, since the game required you to play in a squad of three players, you had either to be grouped with strangers or suffer the disadvantage of playing alone against teams of three. Warzone's solo mode now allows you to play games alone in a free-for-all mode where there will be only one winner. If you die, you will still have access to the Gulag, but you will not be able to count on a teammate to revive you. If you die, the game will be over for you.
The solo mode of Call of Duty: Warzone is part of an update that also fixes some bugs and introduces a change to the allocation of the kills. These will now be assigned to the player who puts an enemy down and no longer to the one who kills it.
Like every week, this update also introduces new playlists for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and decorates the Skirmish mode with Saint Patrick's colors.
