Call of Duty: WWII is free for PlayStation Plus subscribers

PlayStation Plus subscription service offers free games to the players every month, and Sony has revealed that one of the games that will be available for free starting today for the users of their service will be Call of Duty: WWII. The first-person shooter developed by Sledgehammer Games was originally released in 2017 and it takes a different approach to the gameplay than other games of the series. The announcement has been made through Twitter and it also reveals that there are other free games that will be included in PlayStation Plus lineup for the next month. There are some rumors that point to Spider-Man as one of those games but nothing has been confirmed so far.

The campaign in Call of Duty: WWII takes you the Western Front during World War II as one of the soldiers of the 1st Infantry division. Your squad will take part in some of the most important operations and battles that took place during the conflict. The game features some important gameplay changes including the removal of life regeneration, what forces you to be very careful and search for medkits in order to keep yourself alive. Call of Duty: WWII also includes several multiplayer modes and the Nazi Zombies mode, which is a survival mode that follows an alternative story in which the Third Reich tries to create an army of undead as the ultimate mean to win the war. The gameplay in this mode is very similar to other zombie modes that have become quite popular in some other games in the Call of Duty series.

Although Playstation Plus service is not free, it offers you a series of games for free every month which, once claimed, you can download and play for free as long as you are subscribed to the service. Right now and until June 1 you can also claim and play Cities: Skylines and Farming Simulator 19 for free if you are a member.
