One would think that when a studio is fully immersed in the development of what could be one of the most important games released in recent years, all the work should be focused in that direction. We don't really know if Larian has everything under control with the development of Baldur's Gate III but it's possible that releasing additional content for Divinity: Original Sin 2 might not be the best idea unless you have a team dedicated to that matter or the content was made beforehand. Whatever the case is, the release of new content for Divinity: Original Sin 2 is indeed great news for the fans of the series, and it will give players something to do until Baldur's Gate III enters Early Access in August.
It's true that Divinity: Original Sin 2 has been receiving additional content in the form of "Gift Bags" for a while, and every bit of these additions is worth it for all those that own the game. They are completely free and they add features, items, and more to a game that is already awesome, giving players another reason to play it again. The latest Gift Bag for Divinity: Original Sin 2 is called The Four Treasures of Rivellon, and it includes "new quests in search of four ancient armor sets imbued with magical properties."
The Four Treasures of Rivellon was revealed during the Guerrilla Collective show, an online event where a lot of companies are talking about their upcoming projects and that you can watch on Twitch. We expect more announcements to be made today, during its final day.
Whether you are a fan of the Divinity: Original Sin series or you are eagerly waiting for the release of Baldur's Gate III, we definitely recommend Divinity: Original Sin 2 as a game to play for the next few weeks. Along with a great story, the game features unique gameplay mechanics that you won't find in any other game and it takes interaction with the environment to a new level in the RPG genre.
