Grab Total War: Shogun 2 on Steam and keep it for free

A completely free game on Steam is a rather unusual occurrence. We are used to seeing limited time promotions that allow you to play certain games on Valve's platform for free, but they only last for a weekend and after that, you can buy the game with a discount. You rarely get a free game on Steam that you can keep permanently. We are in front of one of those cases. Thanks to The Creative Assembly, one of the most interesting games in the Total War franchise is available for free on Steam. You can claim Total War: Shogun 2 from Monday the 27th of April at 19:00 CEST until Friday the 1st of May at 19:00 CEST, and it will be yours to keep even after the promotion is finished.

Total War: Shogun 2 takes you to one of the darkest periods in the story of Japan. In the middle of the 16th century, the different territories are governed by warring clans, and ten legendary warlords aim to control the nation as the Shogun. You will take the role of a clan leader and try to become the undisputed ruler of Japan by using diplomacy, your economic power, and the might of your troops. The game allows you to build your kingdom in a turn-based campaign in which you will have to use all the tools at your disposal to annihilate your enemies and claim their territories. You will control massive armies in epic battles but also spies and assassins that will hamper the progress of other factions. Once you master the management of your armies you can jump into multiplayer and battle for glory against other players.

The Total War series offers you plenty of historical games where you can prove that you are a master of strategy and management after you have conquered Japan, and it also allows you to visit fantastic lands full of strange creatures in some of their titles. You can find the best price to purchase them with our comparator anytime.
