Halo 2: Anniversary is coming next week

The release of all the games included in Halo: The Master Chief Collection is progressing without any delays and 343 Industries has announced the launch on PC of Halo 2: Anniversary for May 12, 2020. The game will join the other games in the Halo series that are already available as part of the collection, including Halo Reach and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. As you probably know if you are a fan of the series or you have been following us, Halo: The Master Chief Collection will eventually include all the Halo games. Each of them is tested for a few weeks  by the participants in the Halo Insider program before they are released, and when the launch date comes, they are available to all those that own Halo: The Master Chief Collection but from that same moment they are also purchasable separately, or at least that's what has happened until now.

Halo 2: Anniversary comes with a variety of enhancements in several areas that include support for 4K HD resolutions and ultra-wide screens. Halo 2 is considered to be one of the best games in the series and it offers you a single-player campaign that continues the story of the Master Chief and it can be played solo or in cooperative mode. Multiplayer is also present, and the game features a total of 32 multiplayer maps for you to play, including all of the maps from the original Halo 2.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be getting a new addition in the following months that should come in a new and enhanced version of Halo 3 which should be ready for internal testing very soon. If you want to try it before it is released you should join the Halo Insider program, but until that happens you will probably have your hands full with Halo 2: Anniversary.
