Halo Infinite could include a Battle Royale mode

Halo Infinite has been a hot topic in the last few days, especially since it was revealed that its multiplayer will be free-to-play and will support 120fps on Xbox Series X. This fact was announced via the official Twitter account of the game and it has caused all kinds of speculations to start appearing around 343 Industries' upcoming shooter. Not much has been revealed about the multiplayer in Halo Infinite but it seems said announcement has served to raise expectations among the players who are now wondering what kind of multiplayer it will feature.

Just a couple of days after that it's been discovered that Halo Infinite appears listed as a Battle Royale game on the Japanese Halo Infinite Store page, and now everyone is wondering if 343 Industries is trying to change the classic structure of the Halo franchise to be the new Fortnite. It's quite likely that is not something like that, especially since the game is supposed to have the biggest campaign included in a Halo game to the date. Considering all that, Halo Infinite could be something similar to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and use the same base game to offer both a free-to-play multiplayer version and a campaign game with other features in the paid version of the game.

All we can do right now is speculating about it, and we will have to wait a bit longer until 343 Industries reveals more information about Halo Infinite. But one thing is very clear, whatever shape Halo Infinite will take, it seems that it will be quite different from its predecessors on some aspects of gameplay.

Meanwhile, if you are a Halo fan you should take a look at Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which is your best option if you want to play the modern versions of the classic games in the Halo series.
