New Assassin's Creed Valhalla gameplay has been revealed along with its release date

Assassin's Creed Valhalla had already caused a lot of ink to flow before its official revelation in April , because of its theme, the Vikings. If the initial announcement, which was accompanied by a first trailer had rather seduced the players, the gameplay revelation of last month was rather disappointing since the video didn't really contain any of it.

But we were able to watch a long demonstration of Assassin's Creed Valhalla gameplay last night during the online conference Ubisoft Forward. Assassin's Creed Valhalla was one of the featured games along with Watch Dogs Legion and Far Cry 6, and we got to learn more about the game.

First of all, we could see a little more in detail the character that we will incarnate. The gameplay presentation was starred by the female version of the protagonist this time. The story takes place at the end of the 9th century and takes us to England, a place where Viking raiders are not necessarily welcome. Assassin's Creed Valhalla will feature a renewed combat system that will let players use two weapons at the same time, including two shields, allowing a variety of strategic options. If you prefer to avoid direct confrontation there is an infiltration system too. The game also has a place for exploration and you will have to collect various resources for your camp to make it grow and prosper. Opposite to other Assassin's Creed games, health does not regenerate automatically in Assassin's Creed Valhalla and you will have to find the means to restore it. Another important aspect of the gameplay is that you will be able to participate in raids accompanied by your comrades.

Those who were disappointed with the trailer last month will find a lot of footage and information about the game, not only in the gameplay video but also in another long video that followed during the post-show.

Finally, the icing on the cake is that we now know the release date of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which is set for November 17 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and later this year for next-generation consoles.
