Nioh 2 gets ready for its release with a spectacular video

March 13th is the date chosen for the release of Nioh 2 and Team Ninja has published the official launch trailer of the game. Three years after the original Nioh started delighting players with its impressive visuals and epic combat, the sequel is completely prepared to take the license to new heights. New gameplay mechanics, weapons and cooperative multiplayer options for up to three players are just a fraction of what Nioh 2 has to offer to the players, and you can watch an advance in the following video.

Mastering the use of your Ki, choosing a good pair of weapons that offer you a wide range of tactical options in combat, and managing the stance system to change between them according to your needs are just some of the things you will need to do if you want to progress through the game. With combat similar to the Dark Souls series, Nioh 2 is a challenging adventure that will require you to put effort into defeating your enemies. As a half-yokai, you will also have to take advantage of your powers in order to survive. Gathering Soul Cores from powerful yokai enemies to be able to use their abilities will grant you plenty of ways of approaching combat in the game.

Nioh 2 takes place in Japan during the Sengoku period. Evil spirits roam through a territory immersed in an endless war and you will play as a mysterious half-human, half-supernatural Yokai warrior who acts as a rogue mercenary. As the story in Nioh 2 progresses, you will face deadly demons from the Dark Realm in difficult and intense battles that will constantly put your skill to test.

With a perfect mix of action and role-playing game mechanics, Nioh 2 will be available on PlayStation 4 starting tomorrow.
