PUBG introduces a new mode: Team Deathmatch

PUBG introduces a new mode: Team Deathmatch

Maintaining fresh the gameplay experience in a video game is not that easy, especially if we are talking about one that belongs to the most popular genre nowadays. The developers of Playerunknown's Battlegrounds have come up with several ways of doing so and not too long ago they were testing the first flying vehicle in the game. It's a motor glider with room for a pilot and a passenger that allows players to engage in air combat and shoot down targets on the ground from a relatively safe position. We expected more novelties in the game and now the developers have come up with a rather surprising addition: a Team Deathmatch mode for 16 players.

The new Team Deathmatch mode is an alternative mode in Playerunknown's Battlegrounds played in first-person view and that offers quite a different experience from the main game. The mode has already been deployed on the test server and it allows players to join take part 8v8 matches through seven different battlefields. It features a classic ruleset that includes the possibility of respawning after death. The victory conditions are very simple:  the team that gets most kills in 10 mins or the first one to get 50 kills wins a round. If a team wins two rounds, it wins the match. Right now you can only choose from pre-made loadouts for your character in this mode and friendly fire is deactivated so you can shoot to your heart's content without having to worry about your teammates.

The addition of Team Deathmatch mode to the main game is something that the players of Playerunknown's Battlegrounds have requested since it was released for PUBG Lite last year. It's rather surprising that when there are quite a lot of shooting games adding a Battle Royale mode to their features to gather the attention of the players, a game that is originally a Battle Royale has to add a Team Deathmatch mode to keep their players happy.
