The retro FPS Hellbound will be released in August

Announced for the first time in 2017, Hellbound is a game that will cause a lot of nostalgia for some players, because it will take them straight back to the 90s.

Hellbound is developed by the independent Argentinian studio Saibot Studios, which went through the Kickstarter box to reach our screens. The developers themselves qualify their game as such: "an FPS of the 90s, twenty years later". Hellbound draws inspiration from the great successes of the genre of the time, such as DOOM, Quake, or Duke Nukem 3D, by offering effective and action-packed gameplay. It features lots of demons to kill, big guns, and a metal soundtrack.

Incarnate Hellgore with the strong voice of talent Artie Widgery. Hellgore is a huge bada** and a tortured soul, looking for vengeance against the creatures that massacred his people.

Use an arsenal of rusty metals, burnt flesh, and bones, as weapons that have been constructed with one single purpose: TO KILL THEM ALL!

If you are a fan of the genre, it is quite likely that is a Hellbound game for you, and it will land on PC via Steam very soon. The release date has just been announced and you will be able to get your hands on Hellbound on August 4.

If you have any doubts about getting the game, there is a free demo is available on Steam that offers you to play an entire level of the campaign. And if you want even more action while waiting for the release of the game, there is also a free-to-play version that includes a survival mode. It's been available since 2018 and it's a kind of Hellbound teaser, which allows you to face hordes of demonic enemies on a small island.
