When it comes to zombie slaughtering, World War Z has demonstrated that it is one of the most fun games in the genre. Based on the film and novel of the same name, this cooperative third-person shooting game allows up to four players to fight for survival against massive hordes of bloodthirsty zombies through sixteen different cities. World War Z features a story-driven campaign with six different classes to choose from and several gameplay modes that include PVP and alternative ways of playing the game that add extra ways of having fun in the game.
Thanks to its huge success, Saber Interactive has decided to launch the World War Z: Game of the Year Edition, a new package that includes all the DLC and free content previously released for the game, including Horde Mode Z, weekly challenges, and more. It will also come with a new episode that includes three missions that take place in Marseille. This new version of World War Z will also include several weapons and skin packs to customize your characters and a new weapon pack whose contents are yet to be revealed. As a bonus, all World War Z players will have access to a brand-new playable class, which will feature “a unique skill tree and abilities”. It will be introduced in a free update that will come this year, raising the number of available classes in the game to seven along with Gunslinger, Hellraiser, Slasher, Medic, Fixer, and Exterminator.
Along with the announcement of World War Z: Game of the Year Edition, Saber Interactive has revealed that the game is also coming to Nintendo Switch. The launch of World War Z: GOTY is scheduled for May 5 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store. The release date for the Nintendo Switch version has not been announced yet.
