A DLC or sequel for Stellar Blade is under consideration

Despite the many controversies surrounding the name Stellar Blade, Shift Up has managed to bounce back and gain strong support from its fans. In a press conference reported by Gamemeca, developer Shift Up shared some exciting news, revealing the success of Stellar Blade on the PS5.

During this press conference, Shift Up, through a translation provided by truetrophies, stated: "After its release, Stellar Blade recorded the highest user rating of 9.2 on Metacritic, the highest ever among PS5 titles, and is still maintaining this rating. Since its launch, it has ranked first in sales in major console markets such as the US and UK, and cumulative sales are estimated to have exceeded 1 million units."

Although this is Shift Up's first single-player game and is still exclusive to the PS5, the studio has achieved immense success. Furthermore, thanks to Genki, we also got a glimpse of the roadmap that Shift Up has planned for the upcoming year.

The new features to be updated include:

  • Photo Mode - Around August
  • New Costumes - Around October
  • Collaborations with Major IPs - End of the Year
  • New DLC and Sequel - Currently under consideration for future release

Photo Mode is a highly requested feature by players, and combined with the upcoming new costumes, many fans are eagerly anticipating August and October. The DLC and sequel are likely far from release, but this is still good news for players.
