A Plague Tale: Innocence is free on PC

Every week, it's a bit of the same situation that comes up, and it's not to the displeasure of gamers. Since Epic Games started offering games on a weekly basis, no less than a hundred games have been added to the libraries of the most assiduous gamers who have not missed this appointment every week. Of course, the games offered are diverse and varied, there is something for everyone, and there are also games of all types, from independent games to AAA. This week it's A Plague Tale: Innocence and Speed Brawl that will find their place in your library.

[Update: the second free game this week is finally Minit, it seems that Epic Games changed it at the last minute...]

If you missed it, A Plague Tale: Innocence is an adventure game about two siblings, Amicia and Hugo. Their lives are turned upside down when their family is targeted by the soldiers of the Inquisition and they must flee for their lives. But that's not the only threat they face, as the Black Death is spreading without control and there are swarms of rats everywhere. A Plague Tale: Innocence is a game set in the Middle Ages that features stealth and infiltration mechanics. You control Amicia, and she only has a slingshot, which she can use to throw various projectiles, but combat is not her strong point. Instead, cunning and distraction are her best assets, and she can also count on the help of Hugo, her little brother, to overcome certain obstacles.

The second game that you can get for free this week is Speed Brawl, a run-and-gun platformer with fighting game elements, where you speed through levels while hitting the enemies that stand in your way. At the end of the 19th century, aliens from the moon, the Selenites, invaded the city of London. The threat was defeated and the Selenites are now used for labor and entertainment in the popular game Speed Brawl. The game features around fifty levels, and six fighters each with its own unique features.

You can get both games from 5 pm today until next Thursday, but in the meantime, you still have a few hours to get Mothergunship and Train Sim World 2, before they give way to A Plague Tale: Innocence and Speed Brawl.
