AI: The Somnium Files launches a free demo

Developer Spike Chunsoft, Inc has released a demo that allows you to give a try to its mystery adventure AI: The Somnium Files. The adventures of investigator Kaname Date as he searches for a merciless murderer are available for everyone on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, as revealed on the official twitter account of the company.

This AI: The Somnium Files demo will let you play through the first investigation in the game, which starts when the corpse of a woman appears at an abandoned theme park. The victim has been cruelly stabbed multiple times and one of her eyes has been gouged out. As an officer of Tokyo's Metropolitan Police Department, you are in charge of the investigation and as you arrive at the place and start searching for clues you discover a young girl hidden in the central pillar of the merry-go-round. She is holding an ice pick covered in blood in her hands...

AI: The Somnium Files is set in a near-future Tokyo city, and the case described above is just the first in a series that you will have to investigate through the game. With the help of your AI companion, Aiba, you are able to use a special device that allows you to enter the memories and dreams of witnesses and suspects to extract information and search for clues on the different cases.

This neo-noir adventure of crime and investigation is already available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
