AMD has introduced a new driver for its graphics cards designed to provide an optimal gaming experience in God of War: Ragnarok, Frostpunk 2, and Final Fantasy 16.
The release notes indicate that the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 24.20.11.01 driver delivers peak performance in the latest upcoming triple-A PC games, specifically God of War: Ragnarok and Frostpunk 2, while also expanding support for Final Fantasy 16. Additionally, it adds support for the DX11 Update for The Sims 4.
The new driver includes various bug fixes, such as resolving intermittent driver timeouts or application crashes while playing Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and fixing similar issues during certain cutscenes in FINAL FANTASY XVI.
In addition to the new game support, the HYPR-Tune software has been extended to several new games including God of War Ragnarok, Black Myth: Wukong, and Creatures of Ava, enabling full utilization of FidelityFX Super Resolution with FSR 3 and Frame-Gen support, in addition to Anti-Lag 2. Specifically, this driver addresses overly dark shadows or desaturated colors observed while playing Black Myth: Wukong and resolves intermittent in-game corruption while playing Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR’S CUT with AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition Record & Streaming and HDR enabled.
Undoubtedly, further updates will be forthcoming, but if you're playing any of these games, it's highly recommended to promptly update to the preview driver. AMD's latest preview driver can be downloaded from the official website. It's important to note that this release is non-WHQL, so it may be less stable than public WHQL updates. The driver is available for supported AMD graphics cards in 64-bit Windows 10 and 11 systems. As always, remember to check our comparator so that you can secure the best deal on your next favorite game.
