Anno 1800 open beta starts this weekend

Anno 1800 open beta starts this weekend

Last week Ubisoft made public the system requirements needed to play Anno 1800 on PC, and if you managed to cover those you can be more than happy because they have announced the starting date for an Open Beta that will let you try the upcoming installment in the Anno series.

Starting on Friday 12th and through the whole weekend, you will experience all that Anno 1800 simulation has to offer, immersing yourself in one of the most exciting eras in history. During the Open Beta, you will be able to play the first episode of the single-player campaign, but once you are done with that, you can jump to multiplayer mode. As in the previous closed beta event, the game progress will be capped at tier 3 and any kind of progress that you manage to achieve during the beta period will be deleted after the event; so if you decide to buy the game and play it after launch, you will have to start from scratch again.

Developer Blue Byte has made a great work representing the situation in the 19th century, an age of discoveries and changes, mainly defined by the beginning of industrialization, that will forge that humankind will take in the years to come. What you will be playing during the beta will not be the final version, but it´s pretty close to what the game will be at launch. Also, there is no NDA in place for this beta, so you will be able to stream your gameplay and reveal anything about the game if you want to do so.
