April’s Xbox Games with Gold packed with throwback games

It’s not just fool’s month, it’s also apparently a free month as the first new free Xbox Games with Gold are now available. Subscribers aren’t given the most popular games in Xbox One, instead, it’s a throwback of the games from Xbox 360 and some original Xbox games. Since yesterday, Xbox Live Gold subscribers have been able to download the games The Technomancer and the Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (the original Xbox version). The Technomancer is an Xbox One sci-fi action RPG from Spiders studio. It was first launched in 2016 and it is now available for free throughout April.

Next is Star Wars: Battlefront 2, the original Xbox shooter game from then the famous Pandemic Studios and LucasArts. It is only available until April 15th so you should grab it fast! Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is the sequel of the first Battlefront game. This is such a classic! You could play on multiplayer mode and get down to business with your friends. You can jump into ships, fly in space as you cross your opponents’ hangars, and join in space battles. This game is epic, hands down.

The next one on the list is Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 which was originally released in 2007 for Xbox 360. This one is going to be free from April 16th to 30th. Among all the free games for April, this is by far the one with the highest Metacritic rating.

Outcast: Second Contact is also free starting from April 15th to May 15th. It is a remake of the award-winning adventure game from the late 90s; however, I think the game failed to surpass its predecessor since players were quick to leave it behind as they lost interest in it very fast.

For Gold subscribers who haven’t yet grabbed their free games for March, the games are still available for the taking. Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, it’s still up until April 15th. If you haven’t found your favorite game in the free game list yet, then there’s always another month.
