It's been a messy weekend for those players that immersed themselves in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, at least for those playing on PC. After the launch of the game, it was quite obvious that achievements were not present in the new installment of the Assassin's Creed series, at least on its PC version. Plenty of players took their concerns to social networks and forums through the internet, and they were followed by a series of responses coming from several Ubisoft representatives that have had all of us puzzled for the last couple of days.
First, they acknowledged that it was an unintended error and stated that they were working on bringing achievements back into Assassin's Creed Valhalla on PC. A couple of days after that, it was stated on the official forums that achievements were not available for the game on PC and that the change was intended. The funny thing is that another representative said exactly the opposite a bit later... It seems that the final statement concludes that Assassin's Creed Valhalla players will have their desired achievements back in the game. Developer Ubisoft has not revealed when it will be happening, but we expect that it will happen as soon as possible.
Despite this rather minor issue, the launch of Assassin's Creed Valhalla can be considered quite a success. The game has risen to the top of the sales charts quite fast and it's boasting impressive numbers that are putting to shame its predecessors. Although there are some that think that the game just offers "more of the same" it's undeniable that the formula is working like a charm. The change of scenario has been welcomed by the fans of the series and each of the new features and novelties is perfectly integrated to create a unique and epic experience that takes Assassin's Creed to a whole new level.
