After the demo became available, several players reported performance problems on PC, stating that Metaphor: ReFantazio is experiencing lag issues. While not everyone is affected, the issue is significant enough for Atlus to address it. The developer has now officially acknowledged the problem and is actively working to resolve it before the game's release.

On X (formerly Twitter), the official Atlus West account posted an update regarding the PC performance issues, assuring players that the development team is working to address the problem. With the release of Metaphor: ReFantazio set for October 11, just under two weeks away, it’s possible the game may not run flawlessly on launch day.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is one of the most highly anticipated RPGs of 2024, drawing inspiration from the critically acclaimed Persona 5. However, it distinguishes itself with a unique setting in the medieval world of the United Kingdom of Euchronia. It has also been confirmed that Metaphor: ReFantazio will be a lengthy experience, with the main storyline expected to take around 100 hours to complete.
