Baldur's Gate 3 adds the Barbarian class

Baldur's Gate 3 adds the Barbarian class

When Larian Studios announced that they were in charge of Baldur's Gate 3 development, it was a relief for many fans of the series. Their great work with Divinity Original Sin 2 anticipated a great video game, and when the first gameplay reveals was shown, it was clear that Baldur's Gate 3 is going to be one of those games that will change the RPG genre forever. The game is already in Early Access, and a huge number of players have already bought it to give it a try and provide valuable feedback to the developers. Although players only have access to limited content, Larian Studios continues to update that version of the game with modifications and additional content.

Not all the classes that players will be able to choose in the final version of Baldur's Gate 3 are in the game now, but Larian has just announced another update that adds the Barbarian class, as well as a plethora of other changes. Community Update 15 brings a huge upgrade to spell animations and in-game cinematic scenes, as well as an overhaul of the user interface, but the main addition of the new patch is the Barbarian class which is now available to all Baldur's Gate 3 players.

These brutal warriors can choose between two subclasses, Wildheart Barbarians and Berserker Barbarians. The first ones choose a Bestial Heart to inspire them, each granting different skills that range from cleave attacks to a Pack Howl that will boost their group's movement. Berserker Barbarians can capitalize the barbarians' enraging capabilities to enter a frenzied state that allows them to perform additional attacks.

Overall, the Barbarian is a force of nature able to wreak havoc on the battlefield by delivering devastating blows and using any element in the battlefield as a weapon that can be thrown to crush their opponents.

Baldur's Gate 3 won't arrive this year

Unfortunately, there is bad news for those eagerly waiting to see the final version of Baldur's Gate 3, as Larian confirms that it won't be launching this year. There are far too many things to be added and a lot of work to be done until the game turns into the masterpiece it needs to be, no matter how good the Early Access version looks.
