Did you know that Baldur's Gate III is bigger than Game of Thrones?

If you thought that the Game of Thrones TV series was enough to keep you entertained for quite a long while you may be surprised when you know that Baldur's Gate III is much bigger. In the latest community update, Larian Studios has revealed quite a few interesting details about its upcoming role-playing game. Among those, the most striking one is about the size of the game. Baldur's Gate III in-game cinematics cover 174 hours of footage, which is more than double the time that the TV series inspired in the fantasy novels by George R. R. Martin.

Bigger than you would imagine

While it's hard to put the colossal amount of work that the studio has put into the development of Baldur's Gate III into numbers, these can help us to grasp how big is the game. With new races never seen before in the series, 12 classes and 46 subclasses, 600 spells, and an unprecedented amount of items for you to collect and use Baldur's Gate III will deliver one of the biggest RPG experiences released to date.

In fact, Baldur's Gate III will be bigger than the fans expected, since Larian has confirmed that the maximum level cap in the game has been raised from 10 to 12. Although a couple of levels may seem something minor, those with experience in Dungeons and Dragons know that they make quite a huge difference in your gameplay options, especially for spellcasting classes, who gain access to higher spell levels with significantly superior power.

The release of Baldur's Gate III is scheduled for August 3, 2023, on PC, but you will have to wait until September 6 to play the game on PlayStation 5. Of course, the best deals on Baldur's Gate III PS5 are available with our comparator already.
