Bandai announces Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition

Since the Tales series made a debut in 1995 with Tales of Phantasia, the JRPG franchise has become very popular, growing to include a great number of video games. One of the most important titles in the series is Tales of Vesperia, and to celebrate its 10th anniversary Bandai Namco is releasing a new version of the original title that will delight the fans of the series.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is a remastered version of the original title from 2008 that comes with upscaled native graphics in Full HD for all platforms, including Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. But this version offers much more than improved graphics because it includes all the content that was never released outside of Japan. That means that you will see content expanded with new characters, bosses, mini-games, events, costumes that you have never seen before. Two new playable characters will join Yuri Lowell on his epic adventure to save the world of Terca Lumireis from destruction: Patty Fleur, a cheerful pirate girl in search of adventures and her forgotten memories, and Flynn Scifo, Yuri's best friend and knight of the Empire. Along with them, you will also meet the whole cast of characters that have made so popular this installment of the series, including Estelle, Karol, Rita, Judith, and Repede.

On the gameplay side, Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is quite similar to the original game, featuring a specialized version of the Linear Motion Battle System that allows you to control one character of your team, with other three being controlled by the I.A. following a customized set of commands. You can swap the character you control directly at any given time during combat to issue different commands if you want. Out of combat, you will navigate through a map of the world where each location is displayed, as is typical in the games from this genre.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition offers you a great opportunity to discover the world of the Tales series. With amazing up-to-date graphics and new content to experience, it's the perfect title for both fans of the series and newcomers, and it's coming on January 11th, 2019.
