Black Ops 4: a new map for Blackout mode and a free trial month

While the players were expecting to see a new location for Black Ops 4's Blackout Mode, it was finally a brand new map that was revealed. Responding to the sweet name of Alcatraz, just like the famous American prison, this new map is available today on PlayStation 4 and should arrive very soon on other platforms. We know very little about this new map, the trailer does not reveal much. Alcatraz should, however, be smaller, and therefore offer a new game dynamic. In fact, an image shows a top view of the map in the video, and it is hard to believe that it is large enough to accommodate 100 players. We can also see in this trailer that Alcatraz would focus on "close combat". For an overview of what to expect, here is the Alcatraz presentation trailer.

In parallel, Blackout mode will be available for free, not during a weekend, not for a week, bPlayStationole month! From today until the end of April, the Battle Royale mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available for free on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, you will need a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription if you play on a console. The new Alcatraz map will also be playable during this free trial. As a reminder, the Blackout mode of Call of Duty Black Ops 4 was deployed last October and allows 100 players to compete on the same map. This mode is a Battle Royale; you are dropped on a map and your only goal is to be the last one alive. Your freedom of movement will be reduced as the game progresses, and you will have to survive to find various resources and weapons on the map.
