We talked about it in a previous article about a week ago, Crytek published some message on Crysis account on Twitter that pointed to the upcoming release of a remastered version of Crysis 2. Coming from the developer of the game, it was quite clear that we were entitled to see the announcement of the game sooner than later, but it seems that Crytek has more in store for us than just the remaster of the sequel. Crysis Remastered Trilogy has been announced, and as its name implies, it will include the new and modern versions of all the installments in the series.
Crysis Remastered is already available and this new version of one of the most popular first-person shooters has managed to deliver what was expected from it. The quality level of its graphics is amazing, and it can push the capabilities of any GPU to the limit. Even though the remaster includes mostly the single-player campaign, it is still one of the best experiences when it comes to visuals on any platform, especially if you own a PC designed for gaming and you want to squeeze out every drop of juice from your hardware. According to Crytek, the other two games in the new trilogy are expected to have the same level of quality when it comes to graphics:
"We're excited to announce that these iconic Crysis games are returning in one bundle, remastered for a new generation of hardware. Each game is enhanced to look and play beautifully on today's platforms, delivering the finest Crysis experience for both newcomers to our classic franchise or players wishing to relive the adventure."
The release of Crysis Remastered Trilogy is scheduled for this fall, and it will be available on PC, as well as on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch consoles. If you are not interested in the whole package, each of the games will be available separately. Of course, Crysis Remastered is already out and you can find it at the best price on our comparator. It's still unclear if Crysis 2 Remastered and Crysis 3 Remastered will be released before Crysis Remastered Trilogy.
