Warhammer 40,000: Darktide beta receives new content

As we stated in a previous article, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide beta is a success. Players that pre-ordered the game can enjoy limited content until the release takes place. Darktide is receiving a lot of positive comments and developer Fatshark is also putting the feedback to a very good use, even though the launch is so close. The latest update is a proof of that as it addresses several bugs but it also adds additional features to the game.

What's new in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide with Update 1.0.8?

The patch fixes some stability problems and specific bugs that you can find on the official 1.0.8 patch notes. It also opens the workshop to the players, who can now collect crafting materials like Plasteel and Diamantine during the missions. If you visit Hadron's Workshop, you can now craft different types of equipment and weapons, upgrade the ones you already have to a superior quality level, and even add random powers to them. A similar feature was present in Vermintide 2 and it's the best way of upgrading your gear to complement your build in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide too.

With the update, Fatshark is aiming for a good launch experience. the studio confirms that will continue to work on polishing the game and fixing any problems.

"We also said in our earlier update that we were not happy with the game's stability and that we have work left to do. That said, we have made progress in this area since the last patch, and the one deployed today. We hope this translates to a much more stable experience. That isn’t to say we are done, and there are still a few pesky issues out there we will continue to work through as we look to have a stable release."

The final version of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will release next Wednesday on PC. You should check out the system requirements before you visit our comparator to find the best price and buy your Warhammer 40,000: Daktide Steam key.
