Many players rushed to play Warhammer 40,000: Darktide as soon as it was available. Fatshark's latest creation promised a thrilling experience set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, especially for those looking for multiplayer action. The developer used Vermintide as a foundation to create a new type of experience that leans a bit more toward ranged combat. Unfortunately, Darktide had some performance problems at launch that Fatshark has been working hard to fix. The game is in a much better state now, and the studio is adding new content via free updates already.
The latest Warhammer 40,000: Darktide update includes two new maps for the players to battle in as well as one of the most iconic creatures that serve the Chaos Gods. This daemonic creature is a twisted amalgam of tentacles, limbs, and sharp teeth that boasts brutal strength, endless malice, and a relentless desire to obliterate everything in its path. Becoming a Chaos spawn is the final fate of some champions of the Ruinous Powers that accumulate too many "gifts" before earning a spot as a Daemon Prince. The cumulative addition of mutations transforms them into mindless daemonic beasts that have gone beyond the point of no return, but they are still useful as they are capable of wreaking havoc on any battlefield.
The update also adds two new missions to the game. The first one, Archivum Sycorax, will have you and your teammates raiding some archives to recover sensitive data. The second mission is Chasm Terminus, and it will get you to intercept a group of smugglers that are handling some dangerous contraband. As a final touch, players can now buy cosmetic items with in-game currency in a new shop that is available at the main hub.
With these additions, Darktide continues its journey to becoming the best multiplayer co-op experience set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. If you want to jump into the action and free Tertium from the taint of Chaos, use our comparator to buy Warhammer 40,000: Darktide cheap already.
