After many years of waiting for the release of Dead Island 2, Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver finally managed to cheer up a huge community of fans this year. It has taken them 12 years to come up with a solid enough game to be a worthy successor to the legendary zombie-slaying video game that captivated the fans back in 2011. The good news is that they have created a sequel that is much better than what the fans expected. Dead Island 2 is now a critically acclaimed hit that has delivered many hours of fun to a community that was hungry for some action. Several months after its release, it's time to expand the game with more content.
It's almost impossible to get bored in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. Still, Dambuster Studios is adding even more content to Dead Island 2 next month with the release of its first story expansion. The developer already released several DLC packs that add more characters and weapon skins, like the Pulp Weapons Pack, the Memories of Banoi Pack, and more, but the upcoming launch of Haus will add a new side story for the players to explore in the game.
"Haus gives players an entirely new storyline to smash zombies through. Amidst the Zompocalypse, a billionaire’s secret techno-death cult fights for survival in Haus, where humanity is unleashed from its moral restraints. The group’s leader, Konstantin, prophesizes that this is the “paragon of a new future.” It’s up to players to prove them wrong."
Haus will take you to a lush Malibu villa that is home to an eccentric millionaire and his court of cultists, but it also introduces new weapons like the K-ROSSBOW and the Hog Roaster, and eight new skill cards.
The new expansion will be available to play on November 2, 2023, and it's included in the Dead Island 2 Season Pass. A second expansion called SOLA Festival will be released in the second quarter of 2024 bringing even more novelties to the game.
