Believe it or not, Dead Island 2 is going to be released. It's been nine years since the game was announced, and most of the fans of the original Dead Island gave up waiting for it a while ago, but it seems that the second installment in the popular zombie survival series will finally see the light of the day. Dead Island 2's development has been one of the most troublesome that we remember, to the point that many of you will probably be reticent to believe that it will be released next February.
As it usually happens for video games, Dead Island 2's release date has been leaked ahead of the official announcement. The date appears on a listing for the PlayStation 4 version of the game on amazon, which reveals that Dead Island 2 will release on February 3, 2023. Of course, the information has spread through the Internet very fast, and the developer is yet to confirm it. But after nine years of waiting, we are inclined to believe that we will finally be able to fight for survival in the midst of a virus outbreak that turns people into zombies in California.
"A deadly virus is spreading across Los Angeles, California, turning its inhabitants into ravenous zombies. The city is in quarantine and the military have retreated. Bitten, infected, but more than just immune, you learn to harness the zombie inside. Only you, and the handful of other swaggering fellows who happen to be resistant to the pathogen, holds the future of LA (and humanity), in the balance."
