Here are more details about Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake

Announced on September 10 during the second edition of Ubisoft Forward, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake has been in the rumor mill for months. But since a Ubisoft event wouldn't really be one without a leak, the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was leaked online the day before its official announcement, as it happened with Far Cry 6 during the first Ubisoft Forward.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is a highly anticipated game and it will finally be released on January 21, 2021. Developed by Ubisoft Studios in Pune and Bombay, its visual appearance has been widely criticized following its reveal since many people find the graphics too dated. Ubisoft responded to these criticisms, arguing that it is an artistic choice, something that didn't really convince everyone. But a game is not only defined by its graphics, and many players care a lot more about gameplay.

Pierre-Sylvain Gires, Game director of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, spoke about this in the columns of Gamingbolt, where he also provides more details about the game.

“We stuck to the plot and storyline of the original game. However, we made changes to the gameplay and reworked on all the cinematics. When it comes to gameplay, we focussed on the 3 Cs- camera, controls, and combat. We reworked on the camera system and enhanced it. We improved the combat by introducing the multi-targeting system. We also added more acrobatic moves to the Prince. To sum it up, we have remained faithful to the original version but made improvements to modernize the game.”

There is no big revolution on the horizon then. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will offer an experience faithful to the original and it will be a good way to discover or rediscover this fascinating story when it's released on January 21, 2021, on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
