Diablo 3 will land on Switch at 60 fps

Blizzard has announced the launch of Diablo 3: Eternal Collection on Nintendo Switch. The most popular action role-playing franchise of all times will be available on Nintendo Switch this fall. Blizzard has put a lot of effort into finishing it fast, managing to complete the port in only 9 months. The results are awesome though: the game will run at 60 FPS with a resolution of native 720p on handheld mode and 960p on your TV. Not only that, Diablo 3 will take advantage of all the features of Nintendo's hybrid console, offering cooperative multiplayer gameplay for up to 4 players, all of them on a single Switch or connecting 4 different consoles wirelessly without the need of an Internet connection.

You will be able to play online too, of course, using Switch's Online Service, that is to be launched next month. It will also support cloud saves, allowing you to save your character to use it to play cooperatively on any Switch. Do you want more? How about they throw into the package all the content already available, including Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions?

Still not enough? You won´t even have to finish the storyline to access the adventure mode because it will playable from scratch!  Add to that some exclusive content in the form of in-game items:  a Legend of Ganondorf cosmetic armor set,  a Chicken pet, a Tri-Force portrait frame, and Echoes of the Mask wings for your character complete an incredible pack.

Now, the bad news:  there will be no crossplay and you won´t be able to transfer your progress or characters from PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC to Switch. It will be a huge drawback for some people, but considering the current situation with other games, it may be something we should get used to. Diablo 3: Eternal Collection for Nintendo Switch doesn´t have a release date yet, but Blizzard has confirmed that they are aiming for a launch before the year ends.
