Diablo 4 is getting two expansions

Today is the day. Diablo 4 is finally available to all players worldwide and the servers are ready to handle the massive traffic. No big issues are expected on launch day and Blizzard has even released a patch to address balance issues. The latest installment in the most popular ARPG series has arrived and it's here to stay for a long time. The new gameplay dynamics and open world in the game will make players stay longer in the game. The endgame content is more engaging than what players could enjoy in Diablo 3 and Blizzard has also confirmed that it has more ambitious plans for the game when it comes to expanding it.

Long-term expansion plans

If Diablo 2 had Lord of Destruction as an expansion and Diablo 3 had Reaper of Souls, Blizzard will launch not one but at least two expansions for Diablo 4, which will become the biggest game in the series. Diablo general manager, Rod Fergusson, has confirmed in a recent interview that the studio is already working on these already.

"We're about to launch the main game, we're finishing up Season One, we're working on Season Two, we're working on Expansion One, we're kicking off Expansion Two - all that is happening right now."

Therefore, Diablo 4 is getting tons of free additional content as well as paid expansions that will further improve the game by making the story progress and adding plenty of novelties. It's yet to be revealed if the expansions will add new classes. Reaper of Souls added the Crusader to Diablo 3 and the Necromancer was added later with a DLC. The Demon Hunter and the Amazon may be too similar to the Rogue to return, but maybe there is room for the Witch Doctor and the Monk in the future.

With all that content it's granted that there is Diablo 4 for quite a long while. If you don't have your copy yet, you can use our comparator to find the best deals and buy Diablo 4 PC to start your journey in Sanctuary today.
