DOOM Eternal has been delayed

The amount of first-person shooters that have been released this year is rather high and that might be one of the reasons behind the delay on the launch of DOOM Eternal, which was initially scheduled to happen on November 22nd. Developer id Software has announced that its new FPS will be released next year, more exactly on March 20, 2020. According to a publication on the official Twitter account of the game, they still need a bit more time to polish the game in order to deliver a great experience to the players.

The post has also served them to reveal important information about the game. It's been confirmed that DOOM Eternal will have an Invasion Mode that will allow players to enter other players' games as playable demons, but this mode will not be available at launch, and it will come as a free update shortly after the game is available. It's rather surprising that even after delaying the release of DOOM Eternal a few months, they still need a bit more time to finish one of the features of the game, but it's not like we can do anything about that. It has also been revealed that DOOM Eternal will be released on Nintendo Switch but on a later date.

Earlier this year, it was announced that DOOM 64 would have a Nintendo Switch version, but the post reveals that it's also coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. But that's not all. You will get it for free as a bonus if you pre-order DOOM Eternal and the release of both games is scheduled for the same date. That means you will be getting two games for the price of one on the same day unless you are playing on Switch.
