It would be an understatement to say that this week is busy when it comes to video games. Between the release of Microsoft's new console, which is available in two versions, the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S, the release of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but also other games like Godfall, Just Dance 2021, and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, to name a few, there is plenty to do. While the spotlight is currently on these headliners, other releases are also taking place this week. Among those, you can find Prodeus which is now available in Early Access on Steam.
Prodeus is an old school FPS that incorporates the principles of other great hits of the genre, including DOOM. The game was designed as a game from the 90s to deliver an experience similar to the cult games of the era, and you can enjoy it now through Early Access with frenetic action, big guns, and gallons of blood, all in a retro aesthetic accompanied by a metal soundtrack.
Prodeus will remain in Early Access for 8 to 12 months and although it is not a final version of the game it already offers quite a bit of content.
The current version has a 3-5 hour single-player campaign, a large variety of weapons and monsters to blow up, a full-featured level editor, and an integrated community workshop to share and play user-created maps and campaigns for nearly limitless content. Updates and improvements will be added as we make progress.
While the campaign is fairly short at the moment, new content will be arriving in the coming months as the game continues its journey through Early Access. If you are a fan of classic 90s first-person shooters then there is a good chance that Prodeus is made for you, and you can find it at the best price on our comparator.
