Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is reportedly launching this year

The Dragon Age series continues to be one of the most popular RPG series of all time. Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is its fourth installment and it's been in development for quite a long while. It seems that the fans will finally be able to return to Thedas this year for a new and epic adventure. While recent rumours pointed at a release that would take place in 2024, there is some information saying that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will be available to play in just a few months.

Due to next Summer

The origin of such information is no other than Giant Bomb journalist Jeff Grubb, who is confident that the release of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will happen next Summer.

“I suspect Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will probably pop up in the summer. I don’t know when it’ll be shown, but I assume it’ll be shown sometime this summer.”

"It will be released this year, last I heard. EA is pretty confident about that. That doesn’t mean it’s a guarantee; it could slip, but right now, internally, they expect to release it later this year.”

There is no official confirmation on this matter yet. However, if the rumours are true and Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is to be released next Summer, we will soon be hearing more news about the game. Bioware has not been very talkative about the game so far, just enough to keep the fans interested in the game. Other than a yearly short video on Dragon Age Day and some vague speculations, we do not know much other than a general outline about Dragon Age Dreadwolf. More than likely, there will be a full reveal of the title in a few months which should include a release date that hopefully will be final.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is currently in its alpha stage of development, which is confirmed by gameplay footage that was leaked last month. It's quite unlikely that Bioware will organize any type of beta event for the game, but the fans should never lose hope. In the case of such a highly-anticipated game, it's much better to wait a bit longer than having to face a half-baked adventure, so let's hope that the studio does not rush it at the end after such a long development.
