Dragon Ball: The Breakers launches in October

We are quite used to seeing Goku and his friends from Akira Toriyama's comics fighting against powerful enemies. There is a good number of video games that have adapted the unique fighting style of the Dragon Ball characters over the years, but Dragon Ball: The Breakers is on a completely different ground. Everyone was surprised when the game was announced, as the type of gameplay in the game is more commonly found in horror games like Dead by Daylight. But the setting of the upcoming game from Bandai Namco makes total sense if you look at the series from the point of view of the powerless civilians that get involved in the epic clashes between powerful heroes and villains in the series.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers is a multiplayer survival action game where players take the role of civilians that try to escape from one of the iconic villains from the Dragon Ball series. Cell, Frieza, or Majin Buu are just some of the evil characters that will try to hunt all the survivors down and kill them before they can escape by reaching a Super Time Machine. Fortunately, the survivor can make use of some special techniques to distract the villains and have a better chance of escaping in one piece.

As you can see, Dragon Ball: The Breakers is not like any other game inspired by the franchise, but it looks exciting enough to catch the eye of the fans. There are many questions about the game, but Bandai Namco has now answered the most important one. Dragon Ball: The Breakers will release on October 14 on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
