Dragon Ball: The Breakers open beta starts tomorrow

Dragon Ball: The Breakers open beta starts tomorrow

If you are a Dragon Ball fan that has grown accustomed to fighting games based on the manga and anime series from Akira Toriyama the new Dragon Ball game may not be your cup of taste. Dragon Ball: The Breakers offers you a survival experience that is closer to Dead by Daylight than to Dragon Ball FighterZ or Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. The game features asymmetric multiplayer gameplay in a scenario where you can take one of two roles. You can play as either one of the iconic villains or one of the secondary characters that serve as a filler in many episodes in the series. The core of the game mechanic is quite simple: as a survivor, you have to activate a special time machine to escape before you end up as another unmemorable victim of the evil guys. As a villain, you can't allow any of these puny humans to escape from your wrath.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers offers a new type of experience in the Dragon Ball universe and its exciting gameplay will appeal to many fans of the series. Whether you play as a villain or as a survivor, you will have access to certain abilities and items to help you in your mission. Cooperation can be the key to victory if you are a survivor, as team strategies may give you a better opportunity of escaping. In any case, you will have to figure that out by yourself.

Before that, remember that you can try the game for free during the open beta that takes place this week. According to Bandai Namco, the event will kick off tomorrow. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Unfortunately, you will only have access to a limited number of characters during the beta: Frieza and Cell will be the villains, and if you are a survivor, you will be able to choose Oolong and Bulma skins to modify your look.
