Dragon Ball Z Kakarot shows its gameplay in a new video

If you like Japanese anime and manga or you grew up in the nineties, it´s almost guaranteed that you know who Son Goku is and what is Dragon Ball Z. Even though the story of Goku on his search for the Dragon Balls starts with him as a child, it is the second part of the series from Akira Toriyama that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot focuses on. The part of the story that starts with the arrival of Raditz to the Earth and sheds a bit of light over the origins of our protagonist covers a few story arcs with some of the most impressive battles of the whole series. The fight with Frieza for the destiny of planet Namek, the climax of the androids' story with the final fight against Cell, and the epic battle against the almighty Majin Buu will be present in the game.

But Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is more than just a fighting game based on the series. It's also a role-playing game that will allow you to experience the whole story of Goku in that period. Not only you will be able to play as Goku and meet a whole cast of familiar characters of the Dragon Ball Z series, but you will be able to play as some of them too. In the following video, for example, you can watch some gameplay footage that culminates with Vegeta fighting against some Frieza Force Officers.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot undoubtedly is one of the most eagerly awaited Dragon Ball games. There are some role-playing adventures already, but those are mainly 2D titles. There are also quite a few fighting games for all platforms, Dragon Ball FighterZ is the most recent and spectacular. But no game gives you the opportunity of experiencing both things together yet. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is the only game that offers you the best of both worlds, with exploration and RPG mechanics as well as combat that has nothing to be shy of if you compare it to the fighting games based on the series.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is officially slated to release for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on January 16, 2020. You can find the best prices to buy it anytime on our comparator.
