The developer Saber Interactive and the publisher Boss Team revealed two new gameplay videos of Evil Dead: The Game. With many bloody battles, the focus this time was on Survivor and Demon modes.
The disclosure came through the website Game Informer. While Survivor mode is focused on completing objectives on the map to defeat the evil beings, Demon mode goes to a totally opposite side, where the player collects energy to power up and controls creatures to sabotage the goals of Ash Williams and his companions.
In the first video, you can see the various incarnations of Ash, as well as Scotty, Ed Getley, and many other characters from the franchise. Each of them has different roles in Evil Dead: The Game, such as Leader, Warrior, Hunter, and Support. In addition, you will be able to upgrade the skills and stats of each as the team progresses in the gameplay. Unlike other survival games, in this one, the Survivors are affrontingly active. Instead of just hiding or running away, Survivors must arm themselves and eliminate the countless demons. A mix between survival game and battle royale.
The second video features the Demon gameplay. Players can pick the teams Warlord, Puppeteer, and Necromancer. Your objective is to collect Energy Globes, a fragment used to unlock even more dangerous demons - like Henrietta Knowby. As well as, of course, sabotaging the Survivors' mission. As a demon, you can possess objects, like cars and trees, lesser demons, and even players. The demonic player can also set traps to hinder your opponent's objective.
Initially, Evil Dead: The Game was set to release in late 2021 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. However, the game has been delayed and now arrives on May 13. As usual, you can check our comparator for deals on Evil Dead: The Game codes.
