Exotic weapons will be reworked in Destiny 2: Lightfall

Anyone that has ever played Destiny 2 knows that one of the most important aspects of your performance in the game is the weapons you are using. As in games like Borderlands 3, exotic weapons can have a variety of special effects that make them significantly more powerful than their normal counterparts. Different firing modes, explosive rounds, igniting capabilities, and all kinds of side effects can determine your final build and the way you play your character in Bungie's first-person shooter. Players usually favor certain weapons, and they generate a meta that a majority follows. That's why the introduction of new exotic weapons or any modifications to their capabilities are so important in Destiny 2.

That said, it's obvious that the release of the upcoming Destiny 2: Lightfall expansion will change the meta. Not only because it will introduce three new subclasses and new items, but also because some of the weapons currently available in the game will be modified. Bungie has revealed a list of exotic weapons that will be reworked with the launch of the expansion.

  • Leviathan's Breath (Bow)
  • Sunshot (Hand Cannon)
  • One Thousand Voices (Fusion Rifle)
  • Polaris Lance (Scout Rifle)
  • Prometheus Lens (Trace Rifle)
  • Ruinous Effigy (Trace Rifle)
  • Two-Tailed Fox (Rocket Launcher)
  • The Queenbreaker (Linear Fusion Rifle)

If one of these is a key element in your build, you may have to change the way you play or look for better options with the arrival of Destiny 2: Lightfall. Bungie will modify more weapons for the expansion, but those are the only ones confirmed so far.

Destiny 2: Lightfall launches on February 28, 2023. Therefore, it's quite likely that Bungie will be revealing more details on this matter in the coming weeks. As usual, if you are looking for the best price to buy Destiny 2: Lightfall cheap, you can find it with our comparator.
