Every year since 1996 the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences organizes the DICE (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Awards to recognize the best video games of the year in several categories. The most sought prize of all of them is the Game of the Year award and this time the game chosen to be honored has been Fallout 4. Bethesda Softworks' title has not only managed to win the GOTY award but also Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction and Role-Playing/Massively Multiplayer Game of the Year ones.
One could deem significant that the 19th DICE Annual Awards ceremony held yesterday at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas has yielded very few winners, with Fallout 4, Ori and the Blind Forest, Rocket League and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but in the end it just confirms those games as quite solid bets if you are looking for something good to play in their respective genres. The other winner of the night was the creator of Metal Gear series, Hideo Kojima, that was included by the AIAS in it's Hall of Fame for his impact in the development of highly influential games. You can see here the list with the winners in each category:
