Final Fantasy XII was one of the weirder games in the Final Fantasy franchise, but it was the weirdo that had some pretty interesting features. If you never played this Final Fantasy game, you could be getting a reason to do so soon, as it's coming to the PS4 soon as Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. This HD remaster will make sure to make the game as accessible as possible with graphical improvements, so players that had trouble with playing an older game with older graphics get appeased too.
Final Fantasy XII was released in 2006 for the PlayStation 2. It was a fantasy RPG, developed and published by Square Enix. The game brought some pretty interesting features like the open world being split into zones, a consistent battle system, a controllable camera (was quite important back in the day), the customizable "gambit" system that allowed the player to control the AI of the characters in battle, and the quirky "license" system which determined what equipment and abilities were used by what character.
The game had a couple of problems here and there, but it was an interesting Final Fantasy experience nonetheless. Now, with The Zodiac Age, players that want to visit the game again, just a prettier and updated version, can do so, and players that haven't yet played the game will have a great opportunity to play the high-definition remaster, which also comes with some several modern advancements (a reconstructed battle design and a completely revamped job system).
If you hadn't played the original Final Fantasy XII, you should do so, it will provide you with fun before the remaster comes out in July 2017. You should also watch the YouTube trailer down below.
