Gigabyte launches new Intel Z890 motherboard models with many valuable upgrades

Despite the official launch of the Intel Arrow Lake CPU generation still pending, Gigabyte has introduced a series of Z890 motherboards designed for this new CPU, comprising a total of 17 models categorized into different series

The most notable among them are the models belonging to the AI TOP Series such as Z890 AORUS XTREME AI TOP, Z890 AORUS MASTER AI TOP, and Z890 AI TOP. These motherboards offer advanced features including support for DDR5 with speeds of up to 9500 MT/s, dual GPUs, dual 10GbE LAN, and dual Thunderbolt 5 ports, ensuring powerful performance.

Key highlights of the Z890 motherboard series:

  • Thunderbolt 5: For the first time on a motherboard, Thunderbolt 5 is integrated, providing data transfer speeds of up to 80 Gbps thanks to the USB4 2.0 standard.
  • DDR5 9500 MT/s Support: Z890 AORUS XTREME AI TOP achieves the highest RAM speed to date, reaching up to 9500 MT/s with support from Intel XMP.
  • Powerful VRM: Motherboards in the AI TOP Series feature superior overclocking capabilities with a robust VRM design and an integrated DDR Wind Blade cooling system, reducing temperatures by up to 10°C.
  • AI-overclocking: The AORUS AI SNATCH and AI SNATCH Engine features enable automatic overclocking through AI models, allowing users to enhance performance with just a click.
  • HyperTune BIOS: The BIOS utilizes AI to optimize signals, enhancing overall performance and improving memory clock speeds.
  • Upgraded UC BIOS: Offers a more user-friendly interface with numerous customization options and themed modes, including grayscale mode.

The Gigabyte Z890 motherboard also offers various configuration options from Intel, including modes such as Baseline, Performance, Extreme, and new modes like Spec Enhance, Optimization, and Unleash. Notably, the Unleash mode can increase performance by up to 11%. Gigabyte's Z890 motherboard series also supports WiFi 7, PCIe 5.0 for graphics cards and SSDs, as well as display outputs such as DisplayPort 1.4a. With the exclusive NPU Overdrive technology, the AI performance of the Intel Arrow Lake CPU can increase by up to 23%.
