Gotham Knights may have 4-player co-op

The upcoming superhero action brawler Gotham Knights may feature a 4-player co-op option, based on a leaked listing on its PlayStation page. According to a Reddit user, SuspiciousTension19, the page clearly indicated 4 player network support.

Originally, the developers have stated that the game would be co-op for two players, but it’s possible we’ll see a new mode that has four players working together to beat the stuffing out of Gotham’s criminals. Of course, you can also play it as a single player, patrolling the districts and backstreets of Gotham to dispense justice.

Gotham Knights is currently being developed by WB Games Montreal. Its creative director, Patrick Redding, directed Splinter Cell Blacklist and Conviction

Gotham Knights imagines a world where Batman and Commissioner Gordon are gone, and only the Dark Knight’s four proteges remain.

Batman is dead. It is now up to the Batman Family - Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin - to protect Gotham City, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops, and fear to its criminals. You must evolve into the new Dark Knight and save Gotham from chaos.

The Bat Family will go up against not just the likes of the Penguin and Mr. Freeze, but also the mysterious Court of Owls and their assassins, the Talons. The Court is said to be composed of Gotham’s most powerful families, and have ruled Gotham City from the shadows.

Originally planned for release in 2021, the game was delayed to later this year to give time for developers to polish it. The other DC game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, has been unfortunately pushed back all the way to 2023.
