Since its official presentation at the Playstation 5 event, Horizon Forbidden West has been out of the radar. The launch of the sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn is still planned for this year, despite the fact that Sony and Guerilla Games have been rather stingy when it comes to sharing information about the game. It's worth noting that in the meantime, the first game has been released on PC as part of Sony's 180-degree turn away from its console exclusivity policy. But we're about to find out more about Horizon Forbidden West.
Sony has announced that a State of Play dedicated to Horizon Forbidden West will take place on May 27th. The news was announced via the Playstation Blog in a post published by the game director Mathijs de Jonge. Most of the footage will be entirely dedicated to the gameplay.
During this State of Play, we will debut the Horizon Forbidden West gameplay reveal! In this 20-minute exclusive segment, you’ll be seeing about 14 minutes of brand new in-game action featuring our heroic protagonist Aloy, all captured directly on PlayStation 5.This reveal has been a true team effort and we’re very excited to show you what we have in store. Whether you’ve been with us and Aloy since Horizon Zero Dawn or are only just getting to know this incredible world, we want to share this huge milestone with you and cannot wait to see your favorite moments and reactions.
We don't know much more than that for now, but waiting a couple of days should be more than bearable for even the most avid fans. The Horizon Forbidden West presentation will begin at 11 pm UK time, but an unannounced pre-show will begin at 6 pm. The release date of Horizon Forbidden West is obviously one of the things we're expecting to discover at this event.
