Hybrid cars will take the spotlight in WRC Generations

WRC Generations promises to take the series rally series to the next level with innovations in many fields. Among those, the most interesting one reflects the changes that the world of motorsports is suffering with the introduction of electric engines in many categories. Players with experience in the WRC series are already used to driving fuel-powered vehicles, their acceleration, grip, brakes, and characteristics on the track. WRC Generations will feature Rally1 hybrid cars for the first time in the series, and they have become a major point of interest for the fans.

A new way of driving

Developer Kylotonn released a video on this matter a while ago. It shows several aspects of driving electric cars that will be notably different from their counterpart. The engine torque is far superior on these and the resulting acceleration of the vehicle can be significantly higher. Not only will you have to keep that in mind when driving, but you also need to strategize your battery consumption. All these new features will make WRC Generations different from its competitors in the genre, but the game also includes plenty of other novelties, like a huge list of cars, a rally list with 21 different locations and 165 stages, and crossplay across all platforms.

It's worth saying that WRC Generations will be Kylotonn's last take on the rally series before Codemasters takes control of it. The French studio is raising the standards for this installment and intends to provide the best possible experience to date. It will be interesting to see how the series evolves in the following years.
