Infection mode finally arrives to Halo Infinite in Season 4

Halo Infinite had great success with bringing free-to-play to the series. Even though the free version of the game is strictly PvP based and those who want to enjoy the latest chapter in the story of the Master Chief have to purchase the campaign, the huge community that has been supporting the game over many years of history rushed to play it in excitement as soon as it was available. Boasting huge numbers at launch, Halo Infinite rapidly became one of the most popular free options for the fans of the genre, and it has maintained a spot at the top of the charts.

A new season full of novelties

The game's 4th season will kick off in June and developer 343 Industries continues to support Halo Infinite with more seasonal content. In this case, the studio has announced via Twitter the addition of a new gameplay mode for this season. We are talking about Infection, of course, a favorite of the fans of the series where a team of Spartans has to survive the attack of a group of zombie-like Infected controlled by players too. When an Infected kills a Spartan, the dead player joins the opposing team as a new Infected, increasing the difficulty for the Spartans.

Alongside the new mode, Season 4 will also bring the remake of the Plaza map from Halo 5, and a new Career Rank, which is an all-new progression system to further develop your character in the game. With those additions, players have plenty to look forward to in the upcoming season of Halo Infinite.

Halo Infinite's PvP is free to play but If you are yet to experience the last chapter in the long-lived series and want to discover what happens to the Master Chief, you can get a Halo Infinite Xbox key at the best price with our comparator.
